NCEL Chairman To Retire
23rd March, 2009
KoolSport Northern Counties East League Chairman Tom Dixon has announced he is to retire in the summer.
He is to step down after the League's Annual General Meeting.
It will bring to an end seventy years of service for local grassroots football.
Tom started out as a linesman and referee before moving on to the Committee of the Yorkshire League.
He was then part of the board when that League merged with the Midlands League to form the NCEL back in 1982 - and he has been an active member of the League ever since.
The League would like to put on record our thanks for all the years of dedication and hard work Tom has put in and we wish him a fantastic retirement.
