The KoolSport NCEL has tonight announced a measure they hope will give its clubs a great chance to progress in the FA Vase next month.

The statement reads: "In an effort to assist its member clubs, the Koolsport NCE League have decided that the six clubs who have progressed to the next round of the FA Vase to be played on Saturday 6th December 2008 will not play any competitive NCE game in the midweek prior to this date.

"In doing so, the Management Board hope that this allows clubs a better preparation period for the important game in the next round of the FA Vase.

"This means that the Scarborough Ath v Pickering Town in the Presidents Cup in that midweek will now be postponed and rearranged in early January."
