The 30,000th Premier Division goal could be scored this coming weekend.

After the last round of matches, the tally for the KoolSport NCEL's top flight since its inception in 1982 stands at 29,988, just twelve short of the milestone.

And, with half-a-dozen games taking place on the 15th of November, the League are expecting this Saturday to be the historic day.

That is because there is an average of 3.89 goals per game in the Premier Division.

To celebrate this occasion, the League will be handing out a silver salver to the club and the player who hit the momentous goal.

The teams involved in the weekend's action are Armthorpe Welfare, Dinnington Town, Eccleshill United, Hall Road Rangers, Hallam, Lincoln Moorlands Railway, Liversedge, Maltby Main, Mickleover Sports, Parkgate, Selby Town and Shirebrook Town.
