Duxbury Leaves Eagles
24th July, 2014
Eccleshill United have announced that, due to personal reasons, head coach Lee Duxbury has left the club with immediate effect.
The Toolstation NCEL Division One side said in a statement: "We would like to place on record our appreciation for all his hard work during last season, culminating in the fantastic achievement of winning the West Riding County Cup Final against Harrogate Town at Valley Parade."
Mark Ellis will remain as director of football working closely together with the newly appointed and vastly experienced David Cope who has been appointed as general manager.
Mark Tinker, currently a coach at Barnsley FC Academy, RIASA Coach and ex-Garforth Town reserve coach, has been appointed first team head coach and his assistant will be former Cheltenham Town and Barnsley player Martin Devanney who will operate in the dual role of assistant first team player-coach.
Both Tinker and Devanney are UEFA B qualified coaches and are currently working towards UEFA A licence accreditation and meet the club's strict policy that all first team coaches hold a minimum UEFA B licence.
The club say that they "are looking forward to the new season with great optimism and believe their new appointments will prove to be successful in helping the club achieve their ambitions."
