Inkersall Road development plans revealed

8th March, 2015

Staveley Miners Welfare have unveiled proposals to further improve facilities at the club's Inkersall Road home.

A club spokesperson said: "Plans have been drawn up and grant aid being sought to extend the existing changing room block to accommodate new disabled/female and male toilet facilities, along with changing room extensions to also include a new washroom and kit room areas.

"With the FA Ground Directives on changing rooms but also at the same time improving our facilities, these plans meet both initiatives.

"It is simply vital to our club that our supporters of all ages, along with the need to care for disabled supporters, are all catered for and in our own way 'looked after.'

"We must aim to have and improve our facilities to the highest standard possible in order not only to retain our existing fan base but also to attract new supporters whilst making visiting clubs' visits to Inkersall Road a special off-the-field experience.

"We will whenever possible continue to develop our facilities for the sole purpose of trying to make our club the area's premier non-league location for use by the kids and people of Staveley and also to ensure that visiting teams and supporters are looked after in a safe, secure, pleasant and enjoyable environment.

"This portrays our beliefs that 'get it right off the pitch' and 'look after your families, friends, supporters and visitors' is a preamble to assisting 'getting it right on the pitch' and that this off-the-field investment remains our club's priority over any other club expenditure. It is for the fans."

Plans will be available for inspection in the clubhouse over the next few weeks.
