The Management Board of the Toolstation NCEL have been aware of a number of statements and comments on social media network sites from various people regarding Retford United.

It now wishes to communicate the position regarding the club as of this evening at 5.30pm.

As it stands, the Toolstation NCEL has not received any written correspondence or documentation at all regarding the situation at Retford United but have been made aware of the resignation of the club's first team committee in a telephone call made by the league to the club.

It has further been made aware in another telephone call from the club to the league that arrangements have been made to fulfil the next two fixtures and meetings will be held in the coming days to try and formulate arrangements to secure the club's future.
