Cobras management team go to Shirebrook
18th May, 2015
Division One champions Clipstone have announced that their management team has left to join their local rivals Shirebrook Town.
Chris Millington and his backroom staff helped guide the Cobras to the title this season, securing promotion to the Premier Division for the first time in the club's history.
But, it has now been revealed that they have stepped back down a division to replace Julian Watts and Ady Smith who left Shirebrook earlier this month to become the new management team at near neighbours Rainworth Miners Welfare.
A statement on Clipstone's website reads: "It is with sadness that Clipstone FC have to announce that the management team of Chris Millington, Steve Whitehead and Chris Bullock have all tendered their resignations and have taken over the management of local rivals Shirebrook Town.
"Clipstone FC would like to thank all three gentleman for their service to the football club and wish them all the best in their new project.
"Clipstone FC would like to invite applications for the position of manager via email with a covering note and C.V. to cwfc.press@gmail.com."
