Thacker returns to Rangers
8th December, 2014
Hall Road Rangers have confirmed that, after much speculation, Martin Thacker will once again retake the management job of the Dene Park side?s first team in Toolstation NCEL Division One.
Thacker previously held the manager's post back in 2012 and only stepped aside to concentrate on his playing career and to allow for the appointment of Andy Foster as first team boss.
Following the recent departure of Foster's successor Lee Hastings, Thacker was again approached to see if he fancied retaking the post.
When confirming his appointment, chairman Darren Sunley was pleased with his choice, saying: "We're extremely pleased to have Martin on board and know he will be a great asset to the club.
"He's extremely dedicated and passionate about Hall Road Rangers and I'm very much looking forward to working with him."
Thacker will be in the stands for Rangers' next game away against Bottesford town on Wednesday evening with caretaker boss Jason Cox in the dugout before he officially takes the helm on Saturday away at Penistone Church.
