Nicholson Becomes Rangers Assistant Boss
2nd July, 2014
Hall Road Rangers manager Lee Hastings has appointed his number two for the upcoming Toolstation NCEL Division One season.
Speaking at the club's training session at Dene Park on Tuesday evening, Hastings said: "I am pleased to announce that my assistant for the forthcoming season will be Dan Nicholson.
"We have had extensive talks about Hall Road Rangers, in particular where I would like us to be as a club," he continued. "Dan is particularly impressed with the players' attitudes at the last training session and said to me this looks exciting for now and the future."
Nicholson has his UEFA 'B' License as well as Youth Modules 1,2 and 3, and has been an academy coach at Hull City AFC for 14 years. He has extensive contacts at all levels and will bring fresh ideas to the club.
One of the most important factor for Hastings is that Nicholson will be able to provide excellent training sessions allowing him to take a step back and look at all of the players involved.
Hall Road have also announced their pre-season friendlies which will start away against Easington on July 12th. They will next travel to Appleby Frodingham on July 16th before entertaining Westella Hanson at the John Moore Security Stadium on July 19th. Further friendlies will be announced in due course.
