21st September, 2014
There is no change at the top of the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division whilst Pontefract Collieries now head the pack in Division One after a full programme of fixtures on Saturday.
Handsworth Parramore stay a point clear of the rest in the top flight despite a 0-0 draw at Staveley Miners Welfare and Heanor Town, who started the day in second spot, drop to fifth after their 1-0 defeat at Cleethorpes Town.
Jack Debnam's goal in the 43rd minute secured the victory for the home side that moves them up seven places to ninth position.
Shaw Lane Aquaforce are now the Amber Parras' nearest rivals after their 3-0 victory at Liversedge, Joe Thornton's double sandwiching a goal midway through the second half from James Eyles.
Worksop Town are up into third after they dominated the Bassetlaw derby from start to finish, beating visitors Retford United, 7-0.
Andre Johnson's opener then a Connor Sellars strike and a Rich Smith own goal had them three up by the fourteenth minute and Johnson got his second before the interval.
The goals kept coming in the second period with Luke Shiels netting twice and Sellars also getting on the scoresheet once again in front of a crowd of 752, the highest Premier Division attendance since Retford's trip to Scarborough Athletic attracted 890 spectators in April 2013.
Tadcaster Albion hit the national news in midweek by signing former Manchester United player Jonathan Greening but his brother Josh continues to make headlines of his own as he scored a hat-trick in their 6-0 win at home to Maltby Main to make it ten goals in his last three matches.
Vincent Dhesi, Callum Ward and Nick Thompson also got on the scoresheet in the victory that sees the Brewers up into fourth spot.
Athersley Recreation remain sixth but are five points off the top five after their 3-0 home win over Thackley, Daniel Joynes and Josh Moore scoring for them on each side of an own goal.
And, Garforth Town are now seventh after an Andy Hawksworth brace helped them to a 5-0 victory against visitors Glasshoughton Welfare who drop to next-to-bottom in the table.
Nostell Miners Welfare are back in the basement after they were beaten 2-0 at the side who started the day there, Armthorpe Welfare, a Joe Lumsden penalty and a Jay Rollins strike getting them their first win of the season.
Alex Sherwood's hat-trick ensured a comfortable afternoon for Barton Town Old Boys as they defeated hosts Pickering Town, 4-1, and it was a point each for Parkgate and Bridlington Town as they drew 1-1 at the Roundwood Sports Complex.
Pontefract top Division One after Reece Hicks, Dean Wharam and Craig Rouse found the net in their 3-0 home victory over Dronfield Town, replacing AFC Emley who were beaten at AFC Mansfield.
Emley took an early lead through Max Leonard but the Bulls roared back in the last twenty minutes with Dean Rick, a Danny Tighe penalty and a late goal from Carl Haslam securing a 3-1 win that moves them up into third.
Clipstone also came from behind to claim a victory by the same scoreline at Hemsworth Miners Welfare to climb into fourth, Steve Carty, Josh Gibson and Daniel Wood with their goals after an eighth minute opener from Dominic Blair for the hosts.
Bottesford Town are fifth following their 2-1 win at Knaresborough Town whilst hat-tricks for Simon Mowbray and Craig Bridge helped to make it a 7-2 home victory for Lincoln Moorlands Railway over next-to-bottom Grimsby Borough and see them up into sixth.
Doug Stevenson netted twice as Eccleshill United won 6-0 at home to Hallam and the Eagles now complete the top seven whilst Hallam stay rooted to the bottom of the table with no points from their nine games so far.
Winterton Rangers beat visitors Selby Town with a hat-trick from Josh Batty for the hosts making sure that three goals from the Robins' Ryan Robinson would be left unrewarded.
There were also wins on their own patch for Penistone Church, Shirebrook Town and Worsbrough Bridge Atheltic.
Calum Lee scored the only goal in Penistone's victory over Yorkshire Amateur, Aaron Moxam scored on his return to Shirebrook as they beat Louth Town, 2-1, and Brad Kerr netted twice in Worsbrough's 3-1 defeat of Hall Road Rangers.
The only draw in Division One came at Oxford Street where Rossington Main and Teversal shared four goals.
