Askwith leaves Maltby
15th August, 2016
Mark Askwith has decided to step down from his role as Maltby Main's joint manager due to work commitments.
In a statement, he said: "I've had a great time at Main and I am sad to leave but I have a large number of work commitments which means I cannot give the time a job like this needs.
"I wish all at the club the very best for the future."
Spencer Fearn, who he shared the role with, added: "It is a blow that we received this news from Mark but we fully understand that he has to focus on his business.
"Managing a club at our level takes a lot of time and energy. I know it is with a heavy heart that he has made this decision and we will certainly miss him."
Fearn will continue in his role as manager at the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division side with John Stancliffe becoming his assistant.
