Christopher Jackson broke the deadlock for the Colls in first half stoppage time before Christopher Wood doubled their advantage and confirmed his side's seventh straight victory three minutes from the end.
It was one of four matches in the division that took place with Hall Road Rangers climbing up into third spot with a 3-1 victory over visitors Eccleshill United.
Rangers saw their opener from Joshua Batty cancelled out by Charlie Flaherty but the hosts took control in the second period with goals from James Piercy and Conner Harman.
Ryan Poskitt got both of Glasshoughton Welfare's goals in a 2-1 win at Dronfield Town after Blake Owen had given the home side a 27th minute lead.
Welfare are now ninth, a place ahead of Winterton Rangers who beat hosts Brigg Town 1-0, Andrew Harrison with the vital strike midway through the second period.
Meanwhile, Teversal were unable to cause an upset and reach the final of the Notts Senior Cup as the Tevie Boys were beaten 2-0 at Evo-Stik League side Carlton Town in the last four, a penalty and an own goal doing the damage.
