Clipstone ended their week of turbulence off-the-pitch on a high note with a 2-1 win at Parkgate on Saturday in what was a truncated fixture list due to bad weather.Seven games were called off in the Toolstation NCEL, including the much-anticipated top three clash in the Premier Division between Thackley and leaders Cleethorpes Town, meaning that
Handsworth Parramore were the only top six side to play in the top flight so sights were set elsewhere in the division.
Clipstone, who shocked the league with a sudden resignation on Sunday but have since had their future in the competition secured, travelled to their relegation-threatened hosts in high spirits.
And, although they went behind on 37 minutes through Kieran Hirst, Andrew Fox's penalty immediately brought them back level before Ellis Wall grabbed the winner just before the hour mark.
Second-to-bottom
Retford United picked up three valuable points with a 4-3 win at Nottinghamshire rivals
Rainworth Miners Welfare who drop to eighteenth in the table.
The Badgers were twice pegged back by their hosts as goals from Cameron Dear and Bradley Killner were cancelled out by Jack Barnett and Matthew Harris for the Wrens.
But, Retford sealed the victory with a Robert Ludlam own goal and a Jake Ashton strike before Harris got his second and a late third for the home side.
Elsewhere, Parramore climbed to fifth after a 3-3 draw at
Staveley Miners Welfare, Aaron Moxam putting them two goals ahead after just nine minutes and they led 3-1 at the interval but Joshua Schofield and then Callum Mawbey with his second saw the hosts storm back to take a point in the last quarter of the game.

Garforth Town a 3-0 home victory over
Hemsworth Miners Welfare whilst there were wins on their travels for

Stephen Bromley netted for Railway as they beat
AFC Mansfield, 1-0, there were two goals for Joe Walton in Sedge's 5-2 triumph at
Armthorpe Welfare with Liam Radford also grabbing a brace for the hosts, and Ryan Carroll and Cameron Rigby struck late on to earn Main a 4-2 victory at

In Division One, leaders
AFC Emley suffered their first league defeat in just under three months as they went down 3-1 at sixteenth-placed
Teversal.
Craig Mitchell struck early in both halves and James McCann also got on the scoresheet in the 78th minute to put the hosts in full control before top scorer Ashley Flynn scored a consolation for the visitors.
The chasing pack all took advantage with the three other top five sides that were in action all winning,
Penistone Church remaining their closest rivals with a 4-0 home win over basement side
Nostell Miners Welfare that closes the gap to five points.
Matthew Kilner's own goal kicked things off with Brett Lovell, a Ryan Smith penalty and a late strike from Ashley Ellis confirming the victory.

Grimsby Borough stay third following their home victory over
Eccleshill United and
Pontefract Collieries climb to fourth after a 9-0 demolition of visitors
Ollerton Town, Christopher Jackson with five of their goals in a 21 minute spell late in the second period.
Ollerton drop to eighteenth with
Rossington Main, who won 2-0 at home to
Glasshoughton Welfare thanks to goals from Cameron Johnson and Aisnley Finney, leapfrogging them in the table.
