Toolstation NCEL Match Review 2016/17 #10

8th September, 2016

Athersley Recreation joined the top two Toolstation NCEL Premier Division table-toppers on sixteen points after a 1-0 victory at AFC Mansfield in midweek.

Samuel Bebbington struck with five minutes remaining at the Forest Town Arena to continue his side's excellent start to the season.

Albion Sports are a point behind them in fourth spot after their 3-0 home win over Bridlington Town, Aran Basi's late first half goal added to in the second period by Ferdinand Annor and Rhys Jenkinson.

Alex Rippon netted twice for fifth placed Handsworth Parramore in their 4-0 triumph at Rainworth Miners Welfare, Kieran Wells and Daniel Holland also getting on the scoresheet for the Amber Parras.

Bottesford Town were two goals adrift after fifteen minutes at Worksop Town, Adam Scott and Kieren Fenton scoring for the Tigers, but Oliver Donald pulled one back on the hour and Daniel Boulton made sure the spoils were shared with a 2-2 draw on 78.

Bottesford are sixth, a place above Thackley who won 5-1 at home to Parkgate, Daniel Broadbent with a hat-trick, whilst Pickering Town are ninth after their 3-0 victory over basement visitors Armthorpe Welfare.

Hall Road Rangers are the latest Division One leaders as a Jamie Forrester double helped them to a 3-2 win at Eccleshill United after Sam Bradley and Luke Harrop had given the hosts an early two goal advantage.

They replace Hallam who were held 1-1 at home by Yorkshire Amateur, Thomas Marsden's second half equaliser for the away side cancelling out Matty Ord's opener.

Goals from Dale Kelly, Thomas Cadsow, Ryan Johnson and Daniel Joynes earned Penistone Church a 4-0 home victory over Brigg Town and they climb into third spot.

Andrew Seed and Christopher Wood scored for Pontefract Collieries as the fifth placed side won 2-1 at Teversal.

There was a hat-trick for Ashley Flynn as AFC Emley beat visitors Dronfield Town, 3-0, and for Matthew Crane as Winterton Rangers hit five without reply at home to Knaresborough Town.

A brace from Liam Flanagan secured a 2-1 home win for Selby Town at the expense of Shirebrook Town whilst Daniel Trott also netted twice in Grimsby Borough's 3-2 victory at Nostell Miners Welfare.

Ollerton Town remain bottom of the table after their 4-1 home loss to Rossington Main and it finished goalless in the match between Glasshoughton Welfare and Worsbrough Bridge Athletic.
