Godber and Ward get permanent deal
29th April, 2016
On the eve of their final home game of the season, Handsworth Parramore have confirmed that the club has appointed Mick Godber and Mark Ward as their permanent management team.
Godber took over the reins of the club in January and appointed Ward soon after as his assistant, both on a caretaker basis, and the duo led the Ambers on a superb seventeen match unbeaten run in their first three months in charge.
It means the Ambers have already amassed a record-breaking total of points and their highest placed finish is guaranteed with two games to go.
Chairman Pete Whitehead said: "I'm delighted for both Mick and Mark.
"They have really impressed me with their attitude and application and have more than earned the right to take the club forward in what is an exciting time for us on and off the pitch.
"Their work ethic, vision, results and man management have been first class, there is a real buzz and togetherness around the club, and I had no hesitation in making their appointment a permanent one."
The club have also placed on record their thanks to the many applicants that showed an interest in the position.
