Fox named as new Cobras boss
2nd March, 2016
Billy Fox has been named as the new manager of Clipstone, replacing Jas Colliver who left to join Evo-Stik League side Sheffield last month.
A statement from the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division side said: "A number of people have been in contact about the managerial vacancy at Clipstone and the club wishes to thank all those who took the time to express their interest.
"Chairman Dave Paling has held discussions with a number of the interested parties and, as a result, Clipstone are delighted to announce the appointment of Billy Fox as the new manager.
"Billy brings a wealth of NCEL experience to the role and has previously managed Thackley and Staveley Miners Welfare. Under Billy, the latter were NCEL Division 1 champions in the 2010/2011 season and progressed to the semi-finals of the FA Vase in 2012 where they were narrowly beaten by eventual winners, Dunston UTS.
"Prior to these roles, Billy won the North Midlands Under 19s league whilst in charge of Hallam Under 19s and he was also involved with Doncaster Rovers Academy.
"Billy takes up the role with immediate effect and will be supported by club physio Jason Truscott in the technical area when we visit Handsworth Parramore on Saturday 5th March.
"We would also thank Jason for taking temporary charge for our last two games that saw Clipstone remain unbeaten as they earned two draws."
