Bray leaves Colls
14th September, 2015
Joint Manager Duncan Bray has given up his role at Pontefract Collieries.
After three seasons at the helm, he has tendered his resignation for personal reasons.
A club statement said: "Dunc has had an extremely successful time at Ponte both as a player and latterly as joint manager, leading the club to promotion back to the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division after sixteen years.
"However, off the field, he has a senior role in the NHS which has seen him spending most of his working week in London.
"That, coupled with the time demands of a young family, has resulted in Dunc finding it increasingly difficult to give time to running a football club and he has therefore taken the difficult decision to stand down from his role.
"Ponte would like to place on record their utmost thanks and gratitude to Dunc for everything he has done for the club, both on and off the field, and everyone at the club sends him their good wishes for the future."
Nick Handley will now take control of management of football at the club supported by Russ Eagle.
