Charity bike ride next month by ex-Armthorpe player

2nd August, 2026

A former player, now supporter, of Armthorpe Welfare is making a sponsored bicycle ride next month in aid of breast cancer research.

67-year-old Dale Collins will be cycling 56 miles from Cleethorpes to Doncaster on Sunday 6th September, 2026, to raise money for Sarah’s Pink Events Breast Cancer Charity.

The charity has raised over half-a-million pounds since its inception in 2005 when Sarah Pattinson organised a fund-raising ball following her sister Kimberley’s diagnosis the previous year.

Since then, the charity has continued to raise money to help provide and improve resources and equipment for patients and consultants, raise awareness about early diagnosis and treatment, and support research into all aspects of breast cancer.

Anyone who is interested in donating to Dale’s cycle ride is asked to either phone him on 07931 028298 or e-mail him on collinscfc1359@gmail.com for more information on how to get involved.

All at the Macron NCEL wish Dale all the success in his cycle ride next month and we hope he can raise as much money as possible for this wonderful charity.
