Scarborough Athletic boss Brian France has snapped up former Grimsby Town youngsters Joe Lightowler and Chris Hyam.

Defender Hyam and striker Lightowler ? who have also played for Bridlington Town ? attended the first training session in Hull along with former North Ferriby forward Danny Exley of Scarborough.

France said: "We had 14 players come to the session which was a good response and I have been very busy trying to get lads in.

"Chris and Joe are very good lads while Danny Exley has a lot of potential and I managed him at Ferriby.

"I am hoping to add more players over the coming weeks and we have to get moving quickly because of the lack of time."
