Emley AFC's Joe Jagger and Campion AFC's Marcus Day both reached fifteen league goals for the season in Saturday's Toolstation NCEL Premier Division and Division One action.Jagger scored the second of the Pewits' goals in a 3-0 home victory over
Silsden AFC to keep them three points behind leaders
North Ferriby in the Premier Division.
He netted immediately after Iyrwah Gooden's sixteenth minute opener whilst Paul Walker grabbed the third just after the hour mark.
Ferriby maintained their advantage at the summit as they won 4-3 at
Winterton Rangers in a match that saw them lead 3-1 at the interval with goals from Niall Tilsey, Danny Buttle and Oliver Donald with Josh Walker netting Rangers' first in stoppage time.
Danny Earl added the Villagers' fourth before Walker's second and an 89th minute strike from Ryan Douglas saw Rangers, who finished the game with nine men, come back to within a goal of their visitors.
Third-placed
Barton Town lost ground on the top two as they went down 2-1 at
Knaresborough Town, Benjamin Parkes' opener in the first minute giving the hosts the perfect start.
Danny Edwards added a second midway through the second period before Scott Matthews halved the Swans' deficit.
Penistone Church and
Handsworth are up to fourth and fifth, respectively, after away wins with Nathan Keightley and Reece High netting for Church in a 2-0 victory at
Goole AFC.
Handsworth, meanwhile, won by a single goal at
Frickley Athletic, Samuel Smith with the vital strike towards the end of the first half.
Thackley were the division's biggest winners as an Amir Berchil brace, added to by Ryan Basi and Thomas Greaves, earned them a 4-0 victory at bottom side
Yorkshire Amateur.
Robbie Fox, Dominic Staunton and Zak Khan scored for
Albion Sports in their 3-1 home victory over
Bottesford Town whilst Alex Washington was the matchwinner as
Hemsworth Miners Welfare defeated visitors
Golcar United 1-0.
And, there were two draws in the remaining Premier Division games with
Eccleshill United grabbing a late 1-1 scoreline at home to
Maltby Main, Devonte Newman-Morton with an 88th minute equaliser.
Meanwhile, Dexter Ball made amends for an earlier own goal as he snatched a last gasp leveller for
Garforth Town as they drew 2-2 at
Hallam.
In Division One, Day's hat-trick helped Campion to an 8-1 home win over
Ollerton Town to increase their lead at the top of the table to five points.
Ashley Flynn scored twice and there were also goals for Joseph Colley, Aidan Kirby and Jack McGahan to claim their side's tenth straight league win.
Rossington Main remain their closest rivals but they could only take a point in dramatic circumstances in a 2-2 draw at
Brigg Town, Ross Hannah getting both of their goals in stoppage time to deny their fifth-placed hosts the victory.
There were wins for
Horbury Town and
Harrogate Railway Athletic to maintain their third and fourth postitions, respectively.
James Cusworth netted twice with one each for James Smith, Abdou Bojang and Samuel Kyeremeh as Horbury won 5-0 at home to
Dronfield Town whilst Daniel McDaid got the only goal as the Rail won at
Staveley Miners Welfare.
Retford FC climb to sixth after William Tomlinson secured a 1-0 home victory over basement side
Parkgate in the 50th minute, remaining above
Swallownest who beat visitors
Shirebrook Town 3-2 with Lucas Delfaco scoring a brace.
Louis Wardle, Rhys Plater and Jack Waldron were on the scoresheet for
Armthorpe Welfare as they brushed aside visitors
Glasshoughton Welfare 3-0.
And,
Worsbrough Bridge Athletic move out of the bottom three with a 5-3 victory at
Selby Town with a goal apiece for Lewis O'Connor, Alex Hutchinson, Conor Glavin, Thomas Cadzow and Michael Jepps.
Meanwhile, there was County Cup action for
Nostell Miners Welfare as four goals from Liam Ormsby and one each for Joe Wood and Charlie Parnell ensured a 6-1 win at South Kirkby Colliery in the First Round of the Sheffield & Hallamshire Senior Cup.
