Sheffield have moved up into third in the Macron NCEL Premier Division after a 2-2 home draw with Campion in midweek.

They were seven minutes away from climbing up to second as they led 2-0 through Ryan Cook's 26th minute opener and Bradley Beatson's penalty on the hour mark but the visitors battled back with two late goals to take a point.

Ewan Gregson gave Campion hope in the 83rd minute before Patrick Sykes ensured honours were even with his injury time leveller and his side jump up into thirteenth.

Meanwhile, Handsworth have closed the gap to the top five to just goal difference after their 2-1 win at the side they are chasing, Barton Town, Mitchell Dunne and Joshua Nodder giving them a two goal cushion before the interval.

The Swans pulled one back through Thomas Waudby as the game entered stoppage time but they could not find an equaliser and it was Ambers who took the victory to get within touching distance of fifth spot.

The rest of the midweek action was in a couple of county cup competitions, starting on Monday night with Leeds UFCA's 5-1 home win over South Leeds in the First Round of the West Riding County Cup.

Mason Hatfield, Jools Jennings, Harrison Rowley, Oliver Clarke and William Horkin found the net for Stephen Grimes' side whilst Akram Lasalie had scored what had been an equaliser for the visitors.

Club Thorne Colliery and Ilkley Town were winners in two other all-NCEL ties in the competition, Marc Newsham with an 89th minute decider for Thorne to snatch a 3-2 home victory over Albion Sports.

They led twice before through William Gomes and Ryan Ellison only for Stephen Smith and Nathan Cartman to equalise for the Lions but it was the Division One hosts who had the final laugh against their Premier Division visitors.

Ilkley also vanquished higher-ranked opposition, prevailing 5-4 on penalties after a 1-1 home draw with Horbury Town, Kevin Gonzalez's first half opener for the home side cancelled out by Luke Playford midway through the second period.

Alex Ingham struck twice whilst there was one goal each for Harris Egglestone, Samuel Drake and Alex Burton as Harrogate Railway Athletic sauntered to a 5-1 home win over Guiseley whilst Tadcaster Albion defeated visitors Steeton 3-1 with Desmond Okoro, Oliver Green and Charlie Owen scoring for the Brewers.

Liversdged conceded twice in the final moments to let a 2-0 lead slip after Alfie Dean and Kelan Swales had seemingly put them in control, and Barnoldswick Town's fightback ended with a 2-2 draw that saw Sedge bow out 4-3 in a shootout.

Meanwhile, Goole AFC also exited the competition as they fell to a 4-0 loss to Garforth Town.

It was the also the Second Round of the Sheffield & Hallamshire Senior Cup with Dearne & District performing an amazing comeback at Maltby Main.

Philip Oguejiofor struck twice and Basile Zottos converted a penalty to give Maltby a 3-0 lead by the hour mark but the away side netted four times in twelve minutes to go through to the next stage, Tom Cotson, Max Eastwood, Taylor Nicholson and Adam Baskerville seeing them edge through in a seven goal thriller.

Nicholas Guest scored both of Wombwell Town's goals as they progressed at the expense of hosts Athersley Recreation with a 2-1 win and there were two goals for Keelan Grist and one each for Jamal Stewart and Lewis O'Connor as Worsbrough Bridge Athletic won 4-2 at Doncaster City.

Frickley Athletic are through to the next stage after a 3-0 defeat of Jubilee Sports with Thomas Alngohuro's opener added to by a brace from Ifeanyi Nnenanua.

And, Rossington Main received a walkover and a bye to the Third Round as Wombwell Main were unable to raise a side for their tie.
