Barton Town and Liversedge both won in midweek to move within touching distance of Macron NCEL Premier Division leaders Tadcaster Albion.

Danny South scored the only goal of the game as Barton beat hosts Knaresborough Town and the second-placed Swans are now only one point behind the Brewers.

Sedge, meanwhile, stay third but are two points off the summit following their 3-0 victory at Bottesford Town, Antony Brown's early double added to in the second period by George Green.

Fourth-placed Beverley Town, however, were unable to gain ground as they were defeated 2-0 at Pickering Town.

Souleymane Coulibaly broke the deadlock after seven minutes for the Pikes and Nathan Dyer doubled their advantage towards the start of the second period to lift their side up into eighth whilst Beverley stay five points behind Tadcaster.

In Division One, Dearne & District's lead at the top is now two points after their 1-1 draw at South Leeds, Justin Circuit with a 76th minute equaliser after William Law had opened the scoring for the hosts.

Wakefield AFC have replaced Crowle Colts in fourth spot after beating them 3-0 at Windsor Park, Tom Hinton scoring two of their goals, sandwiching a penalty converted by Ashley Flynn.

A 1-1 home draw with Maltby Main keeps Club Thorne Colliery in sixth, Alexander Peterson with a leveller for them after Basile Zottos had netted for the visiting Miners.

Leeds UFCA came from 2-0 down to claim all three points at Goole AFC with a 3-2 victory, Omar Sanyang completing the turnaround with a double after Ify Ofoegbu had given them hope following early goals for the Vikings from Luke Sellers and James Eyles.

UFCA climb up to seventh, one place above Brigg Town whose 3-1 home win over Ilkley Town, courtesy of goals from Alfie Usher, Joshua Jordan and Adam Drury, also moved the Zebras up the table.

And, Louth Town are now three points clear of the bottom three as a result of their 2-1 defeat of visitors Doncaster City, Harley Thompson and Ethan Scott netting to give them a valuable victory whilst the away side's goal was an equaliser from Reagan Waud.

Meanwhile, Armthorpe Welfare's home clash with Route One Rovers was abandoned after 76 minutes due to floodlight failure with the away side leading 3-0.

There was disappointment in the County Cups as Nostell Miners Welfare, Parkgate and Thackley all tasted defeat.

Matthew Hughes scored for Nostell as they lost 4-1 at home to Dinnington Town in the First Round of the Sheffield & Hallamshire Senior Cup and Parkgate also exited the competition at the same stage by being beaten 4-0 by visitors Stocksbridge Park Steels.

And, Hass Gorji and Joshua Owen got on the scoresheet for Thackley but they went down 4-2 at Ossett United in the West Riding County Cup First Round.
