Campion start search for managerial candidate

Campion AFC is looking for a Joint Manager or Assistant Manager to strengthen the NCEL Premier Division side's management team and help drive the club forward.

The ideal candidate will be a dedicated and experienced football coach who will bring strong knowledge of players and the league, tactical awareness, and leadership qualities to help them continue their success.

What They Are Looking For:
✅ Extensive knowledge of players and teams in the league,
✅ Previous management experience in non-league football,
✅ Strong tactical understanding and ability to develop players,
✅ Excellent communication and leadership skills,
✅ Commitment to matchdays, training sessions, and club development,
✅ FA coaching qualifications (preferred but not essential).

Dave Keegan RIP

All of us at the NCEL send our deepest condolences to the friends and family of Dave Keegan and to Campion following the sad news of the passing of the club's former secretary.

The announcement was made on Saturday morning by the club, saying: "It is with great sadness that we announce that former secretary of 20 years Dave Keegan sadly passed away last night after a courageous battle with cancer.

"Our thoughts are with Kath, his wife, and friends at this sad time🙏❤️"

Dave was always a pleasure to work with during his time as secretary in Campion's spells with the NCEL and he will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.

Campion Emirates FA Cup tie to be live streamed on BBC

The Emirates FA Cup First Round of Qualifying tie involving NCEL Premier Division side Campion will be available to watch live on the BBC.

Their home match with Pitching In Northern Premier League visitors Blyth Spartans is scheduled for Saturday 31th August, 2024, and can be streamed via BBC iPlayer and the red button, as well as on the BBC Sport website on tablet, phone and desktop.

The game has been brought forward to a 12:30pm kick-off to accommodate the coverage.

Both clubs will receive a £1,000 fee from The FA.

As part of BBC Sport giving extra prominence to the Emirates FA Cup, live coverage of matches will be provided through to the last kick of the ball at Wembley Stadium in May during the 2024/25 season.
