The Northern Counties East Football League can confirm that Albion Sports have had points deducted following a recent disciplinary hearing.

The Lions were found guilty of playing Thomas Ponter in their Premier Division match versus Frickley Athletic on 27th December, 2024, while the player was serving a one match FA suspension for accumulating five yellow cards since the start of the season.

They have subsequently been deducted the three points gained from that game - the Premier Division table will be adjusted to take this into account with immediate effect.

The NCEL will make no further statement on this case.
