Seadogs Secure Windass Signature
17th October, 2010
Scarborough Athletic have secured the signing of former Hull City, Bradford City and Middlesbrough striker Dean Windass.
The 41-year-old, who is Boro manager Brian France's son-in-law, has signed for the club from Barton Town Old Boys after football director Tony Brown met with him yesterday evening.
Due to his commitments as a reporter for Sky Sports, Boro acting manager Paul Olsson is likely to take the striker's involvement in the side on a game-by-game basis.
After an illustrious career, Windass officially announced his retirement from the game in 2009.
But, he returned in August to the League where his footballing life began when he signed for Barton and scored a hat-trick in his one game for the side against Yorkshire Amateur.
