Athersley Recreation have announced that they have appointed Rob Landon as their new manager.

Landon, who steps up from being assistant manager, will be supported on his coaching team by Richard Liversedge at the NCEL Division One club.

A club statement said: "Athersley Recreation have acted quickly to fill the management spot by keeping it in the club and Robert Landon will take the reins immediately.

"Also, we are pleased that Richard Liversedge and Julie Briscoe will remain part of Rob's team."

They added that pre-season friendly fixture dates in preparation for the 2025/26 season will be announced as soon as they are confirmed.
