The Semi-Finals line-up for this season's JCP Construction NCEL Cup in memory of James Hitchcock has been decided after the last three Quarter-Final ties were played in midweek.Campion,
Liversedge and
Rossington Main all progressed with away victories, the biggest being Main's 5-1 win at
Doncaster City who were aiming to become the second Division One side to make it to the final four.
But, it was their Premier Division visitors who prevailed thanks to a Myron Gibbons hat-trick whilst Leon Howarth and Dylan Mantle also found the net and Arthur Jones grabbed a consolation for the hosts.
Joseph Walton, Finn Donovan and Antony Brown were the scorers for Sedge as they went through with a 3-0 win at
Frickley Athletic and Campion squeezed through 4-3 at
Horbury Town in an entertaining game at the Pulse Hire Ltd Stadium.
Patrick Sykes struck twice and Corey Billy was on the scoresheet too as they led 3-1 at the break with Joe Jagger netting to give the home side hope of a second-half comeback.
Horbury reduced the deficit to one goal as Jake Roberts got their second on 70 minutes but Max Dickinson quickly added a fourth for the visitors before Samuel Kyemereh struck as the game veered towards stoppage time to make it a thrilling end to a fascinating tie.
Campion held on, though, to get their name in the hat for the Semi-Final draw that will take place in the next few days.
In the Macron NCEL Premier Division,
Barton Town are up into the play-off places after their 3-1 win at
Tadcaster Albion.
Lewis Stephens scored a brace whilst Ali Aydemir also found the net for the Swans who climb to fifth whilst the Brewers, whose goal came from Oliver Norman, stay seventh, three points behind their opponents.
Brigg Town have opened up a nine-point cushion for themselves in the Division One play-off zone after Dayle Hutson's early strike secured the Zebras a 1-0 win at
Winterton Rangers.
Winterton stay in the relegation zone, a point above
Nostell Miners Welfare who were beaten 5-1 at home by
Appleby Frodingham, their solitary goal coming from Jack Thompson.
Joshua Fraiwald's hat-trick added to earlier goals from Luke Bullement and Nathan Jarman as App-Frod move up into seventeenth and are now seven points above the drop zone.
And, Luke Williams netted twice for
Club Thorne Colliery as they won 3-1 at
Crowle Colts to tighten their grip on seventh spot, Henry Cook with the goal for the hosts who stay tenth.
