Horbury Town are the first side through to the Quarter-Finals of this season's JCP Construction NCEL Cup in memory of James Hitchcock as they won 2-1 at home to Sheffield on Tuesday night.

The Third Round tie was goalless for the first hour but Carlos Rodrigues and Abdou Bojang both netted to put the home side in control before an injury-time consolation from Joe West brought some cheer to the away support.

In the Macron NCEL Premier Division, Tadcaster Albion missed out on a chance to climb to second in the table as they slumped to a 6-1 home loss to Campion.

Shay Muirhead's hat-trick and two from Patrick Sykes helped the visitors to a big win with Ben Grech-Brooksbank also netting in a game where they led 5-1 by the interval.

Desmond Okoro had struck for the Brewers but they were easily beaten and stay fourth whilst Campion climb up to eleventh.

Wakefield AFC strengthened their grip on fourth spot in Division One as they won 4-1 at home to Route One Rovers.

Their first game at their new Hunters Stadium home was one to remember, courtesy of a double from Tom Hinton and one each for Bolton Makwedza and Akeel Francis whilst Zak Khan got on the scoresheet for the visitors for his 37th goal of the season.

And, Goole AFC leapfrog Louth Town into twelfth after beating them 3-2 at the MKM Louth Stadium, James Eyles scoring twice and Jack Dolman also finding the net before the hosts rallied in vain with goals from Harry Jacklin and Alex Aldrich.

Meanwhile, Dearne & District caused an upset in Third Round of the Sheffield & Hallamshire Senior Cup as the Division One leaders beat Premier Division visitors Penistone Church.

They twice trailed through Edward Newsome and Reece High but Cyrus Rowe and then Jamie Austin ensured the scores were level at the break and Austin's second secured a 3-2 win with a quarter-of-an-hour remaining.

Rossington Main were quickly 2-0 up at Frickley Athletic, Archie Micklewaite and Dylan Mantle netting in the opening twelve minutes but Lewis Binns and Lucas Robinson restored parity in the second half.

After a 2-2 draw, an epic penalty shoot-out took place with Rossington prevailing 7-6, their keeper Jordan Greaves scoring the winning eleventh spot kick for the visitors.

And, in the North Riding Senior Cup Second Round, Pickering Town found themselves 3-1 up at Marske United, courtesy of two goals from Dominic Weston sandwiching one from Maximillian Bauer but the hosts turned them game round to go through with a 5-3 victory.
