Golcar United and Thackley continue to pursue leaders Silsden AFC in the race for the NCEL Premier Division title as they both took advantage of the top side dropping points at home to Rossington Main in midweek.Silsden led 2-0 after around half-an-hour thanks to a double from Jake Cassidy but Ross Hannah and Paul Sherburn restored parity for battling Main by the interval and that is how it stayed, finishing in a 2-2 draw at the Regal Interiors Stadium.
Golcar climb to second, nine points off the summit, as a George Doyle hat-trick helped them to a 4-1 home win over
Parkgate, Callum Petch with their other goals whilst Jack Humphreys struck for the Steelmen.
And,
Thackley are now in third, a further point behind, after Antony Brown's brace in the final quarter of the game secured a 2-0 victory at
Barton Town.

Shay Muirhead had brought the visiting Vikings back level towards the start of the second period after Eisa Faulding's fifteenth minute opener for the Lions.
But, it was the home side who found the decider, T'nique Fishley guiding home their second just before the hour mark.

In Division One,
Wakefield AFC have leapfrogged
Brigg Town into third spot after beating them 4-0 at the EC Surfacing Stadium.
Keelan Swales struck twice in the first half with Romario Dunne and Jaydan Sandhu doubling their tally after the interval in a game that saw the home side reduced to eight men by the full time whistle.
Player-manager Brett Agnew was shown a red card as was Joshua Jordan and Martin Pembleton as the Zebras fell to defeat.
Dearne & District's fourth straight win has lifted them into the play-off zone, Bayley Lowe, Jack Normanton and Jamie Knox the scorers in a 3-1 victory at
South Leeds whose own ambitions of finishing in the top five are in danger of fading away.
Worsbrough Bridge Athletic are replaced in fifth by Dearne after they went down 2-1 at
Armthorpe Welfare, Andrew Wright and Ahren Rogers with the goals for the hosts whilst Harry Spooner got on the scoresheet for the Briggers.
There were home wins for
Harrogate Railway Athletic and
Swallownest who beat
Nostell Miners Welfare 3-2 and
Club Thorne Colliery 3-0, respectively.
Alex Ingham, Joseph Navier and Lucas Umpleby found the net for the Rail whilst Alex Wonham, Billy Stafford and Luke Brown secured the victory for Jamie Housley's side.
And, Joseph Booth's 83rd minute leveller rescued a point for
Shelley in a 1-1 draw at
Dronfield Town whose goal came from Max Rhodes.
Meanwhile,
Wombwell Town were knocked out of the Sheffield & Hallamshire Senior Cup by higher-ranked opposition, Jordan Kershaw scoring in their 4-1 home loss in the Quarter-Finals to Stocksbridge Park Steels.
