Macron NCEL backs Football v Homophobia's Month of Action

26th January, 2026

The Macron NCEL is proud to be once again supporting the Football v Homophobia (FvH) Month of Action that starts on Sunday.

Every February, the football community comes together for the campaign that promotes LGBTQ+ inclusion and challenges discrimination across every level of the game.

Clubs can sign up to join the campaign by using the following link: MOA sign-up | Football v Homophobia.

The NCEL is proud to be working alongside Brian Stokes from FvH who is available to provide assistance and guidance with events - he can be contacted at brian@footballvhomophobia.com.

What the Month Is About
The Month of Action encourages clubs, leagues, and supporters to:

⚽ Stand against homophobia, biphobia, and transphobia,
⚽ Celebrate LGBTQ+ people in football,
⚽ Promote safe, welcoming environments,
⚽ Raise awareness through matchdays, events, and online activity.

Clubs that take part by dedicating a fixture or running activities are recognised as FvH Champions.

Why It Matters
FvH works to make football safer and more inclusive by:

⚽ Increasing LGBTQ+ visibility,
⚽ Supporting participation on and off the pitch,
⚽ Challenging discrimination,
⚽ Using football’s influence to drive positive change.

How to Get Involved
There are plenty of simple ways to show support:

⚽ Clubs can choose a February fixture to highlight the campaign,
⚽ Share messages of inclusion on social media using #FvH2026,
⚽ Wear black and pink on 19 February for the International Day Against LGBTQ+phobia in Sport,
⚽ Use FvH resources such as posters, guides, and logos,
⚽ Join the supporter scheme to back the campaign year‑round,
⚽ Purchase products promoting FvH from the official shop - SHOP | Football v Homophobia.

Celebrating Inclusion
The Month of Action concludes with the FvH Awards, recognising individuals, clubs, and organisations making a real difference for LGBTQ+ inclusion in football.
