The Macron NCEL is deeply saddened by the passing of one of its directors Bruce Bickerdike.

Bruce, who passed away on Friday night after a short illness, was inarguably one of the most dedicated people to local non-league football.

He was active in a number of roles over several decades including being secretary at Division One club Parkgate for 57 years.

He always played a massive role in the NCEL having been part of our Management Board since 1997 and had recently become a director.

Bruce was also a valued and long-serving member of the Sheffield & Hallamshire County FA who have also paid tribute to his tireless dedication to the sport that he loved.

Our thoughts and condolences go to all of Bruce's family and friends as well as everyone at Parkgate Football Club.
