Restart a Heart Macron NCEL games announced

27th October, 2025

The Macron NCEL games to be visited as part of our charity partner Resuscitation Council UK (RCUK)'s Restart a Heart (RSAH) campaign have been announced.

They will be at tomorrow's Premier Division game between Sheffield and Campion as well as Friday's Division One match between Wakefield AFC and Maltby Main where they will be giving out information and providing CPR and defibrillator training.

RSAH is an annual initiative led by RCUK which aims to increase the number of people surviving out-of-hospital cardiac arrests.

It is run in partnership with The British Heart Foundation, British Red Cross, St John Ambulance, the Association of Ambulance Chief Executives, NHS England, Save a Life for Scotland, St Andrew’s First Aid, Save a Life Cymru, Northern Ireland Ambulance Service, Royal Life Saving Society UK, and Amputation Foundation.

In 2018, the initiative went global with the formation of World Restart a Heart (WRSAH).

Every October, an alliance of partners all over the world (including UK Ambulance Services, universities, and other charitable and public sector community based organisations and first aid training organisations) come together to increase public awareness of cardiac arrests and increase the number of people trained in life saving CPR and defibrillation awareness.

They do this by organising and facilitating training events and also by providing opportunities for people to learn CPR digitally in the safety and comfort of their own home.
