Danysz is new Rossington boss

16th December, 2017

Rossington Main have revealed that former Winterton Rangers manager Lee Danysz is the new boss at the Toolstation NCEL Division One side.

The announcement was made just moments after their 4-0 league defeat at Grimsby Borough on Saturday that saw them drop to thirteenth in the table.

Danysz, who has guided Harworth Colliery to the top of the Abacus Lighting Central Midlands League North Division, is the permanent successor to Chris Glarvey who stepped down at the end of November due to personal family reasons.

Rossington chairman Carl Stokes says that he is delighted to secure the services of the ex-Chesterfield and Armthorpe Welfare striker who was top of his shopping list.

Danysz will be assisted by Main legend Lee Holmes who is the club's top scorer and also one of its previous managers whilst Shaun Tetley, who had been interim boss, will stay on as first team coach.

Their first game in charge will be their Division One home clash with Worsbrough Bridge Athletic next Saturday (23rd) and they will meet with the squad for the first time in training in midweek.

Glarvey resigns due to family reasons

30th November, 2017

Rossington Main have announced "with great sadness" that Chris Glarvey is stepping down as the club's first team manager.

He told chairman Carl Stokes that he had to resign from his position at the Toolstation NCEL Division One side due to personal family reasons.

Mr Stokes said in a statement: "The club completely understand his decision and wish him and his family all the very best going forwards.

"Rossington Main have enjoyed and benefited from Chrisís input over the past twelve months and will certainly miss him.

"Ben Scott, Chrisís assistant, will also be stepping down with immediate effect. Ben will also be sadly missed, Benís contributions to the club cannot be underestimated.

"As chairman, I understand how demanding and emotional these positions at a football club can be, therefore Chris and Ben need to prioritise and, in this case, families must come first.

"Thanks you guys from all at Rossington Main FC."

The club's current assistant manager, Shaun Tetley, has accepted the role as interim boss and he will be assisted by Andy Cowe and Paul Thorpe for Main's visit to Shirebrook on Saturday.
