Management duo step down at Thackley

16th January, 2018

Thackley have announced that manager Chris Reape and his assistant Andy Patterson have resigned from their roles at the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division club.

The Dennyboys explained on Twitter on Tuesday morning that the duo had stepped down due to personal reasons and work commitments.

A club statement said: "The club wish to put on record their appreciation and thanks for what they have done since taking over the reins at a time when the club was struggling both on and off the field.

"They guided the team out of the doldrums and last year achieved a record number of points in the league.

"Along the way, we have enjoyed many memorable moments and they will be sorely missed.

"We respect their decision and wish them both the very best in all they do in the future.

"They are very welcome back at Dennyfield at any time."

Thackley are currently eighteenth in the table, four points above the relegation zone, and are next in action on Saturday when they are at home to Penistone Church in the Premier Division.
