Rangers 10k run raises money for charity
13th September, 2016
A small group of parents, fans and volunteers from Toolstation NCEL Division One club Hall Road Rangers got together on Sunday afternoon for a 10k run to raise funds for Life For a Kid.
The run culminated Hall Road's "Rangers Day" events and has seen the club raise well over ?1,000 for the local charity that does such great work with children in their area.
"Today rounds off our charity fund raising events for 2016," said press officer Lee Myers. "We are very appreciative of the work that Life for a Kid does and we wanted to give a little back to those that help the most deserving in the city.
"We started off in July with a mini soccer tournament and our annual Select XI v The Hull City ex-Tigers match and we have ended today with another mini tournament and the 10k run.
"We love being part of the local community and hope to engage with the locals on the Haworth Park Estate and the wider city more over the coming years and events like this help raise funds for others whilst raising our profile.
"Special thanks to our Rangers Day event Sponsors McAusland and Turner Ltd, Motor Depot Ltd, Quickline, Sports Mail On Line, Primary Tec & local Non League Blogger @BackOfTheStand2 who's help has been invaluable."
