Mace is New Briggers Boss
10th May, 2014
Following the recent resignation of manager Chris Hilton, Worsbrough Bridge Athletic have appointed his former assistant Dave Mace as his successor.
Mace, who worked with Hilton for the four years that he was in charge, will be assisted by ex-Hallam boss Wayne Thompson.
Thompson spent the last five years at the Sandygate side, working successfully with their u19s and reserves before moving up to assist Chris Sellars with the first team before taking over as manager after Sellars' departure for the last twelve games of the season.
A Worsbrough Bridge Athletic spokesperson said: "There has been much interest in the job at Park Road but we have opted to stay loyal to Dave and we are confident that he will continue the good work and steady improvement that we have seen over the last four years."
