The Toolstation NCEL have released the following guidance to clubs ahead of Saturday's matches due to the extremely bad weather over the area.

In view of the current freezing temperatures and snow across the region, and with more forecast for the next couple of days, the NCEL will allow teams to postpone fixtures scheduled for Saturday 11th March, 2023, without the need for a referee to travel and inspect the pitch.

If the pitch is clearly going to be unplayable then the league is asking clubs to provide photographic evidence to the match official and to the league's General Manager Matt Jones and, if possible and safe to do so, conduct a video call with the referee to show them the current pitch conditions.

Clubs should consider not only the safety of their players but also spectator safety and the risks posed to volunteers by the current cold snap.

Postponements will be accepted from tomorrow (Friday) onwards.
