The new name has been revealed for the club that will replace Farsley Celtic and is set for the KoolSport NCEL Premier Division.

It will be named Farsley AFC and their inclusion in the League will be discussed at this weekend's AGM.

Club President John Palmer told their website: "If we had managed to purchase the club as a going concern, there would have been no need for these sorts of discussions and whilst we understand the league and FA's restriction on the use of the name 'Celtic', we want to try and ensure that there are not large scale changes.

"With this is mind, there is unlikely to be any change to the kit and only minor changes to the club crest."
